A new interface for WoW on your phone and with a controller: WotLK 3.3.5a, made for touch and gamepads

World of Warcraft was made for a mouse and keyboard, and most attempts to play it on a phone end with tiny windows you can’t tap and menus that run off the screen. Lasthavens’ new interface, live from 26 October 2026, rebuilds Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a for touch screens and controllers: every window fits your screen, the HUD gets a modern look, and every button can be reached with a gamepad. It’s free and plays in your browser at lasthavens.com/play.

What changed

The update brings DragonUI, one of the best-loved interface addons for 3.3.5a, into the game for phone, tablet and controller players. It’s tuned so its retail-style look fits a small screen and works with the touch and controller controls.

Before Now
Windows The desktop sizes, scaled down Fitted to your screen, finger-sized
Look The original 2008 frames DragonUI’s modern frames, tabs and portraits
Controller Most windows needed a tap Every button reachable with the D-pad
HUD The stock minimap and cast bar DragonUI’s minimap, unit frames and a centred cast bar
Layout Fixed Edit Mode moves and resizes everything

Every window, made for a phone

Character, talents, spellbook, quest log, vendors, trainers, the bank, mail, professions, the flight map, mounts and pets, Friends, Achievements, the Dungeon Finder and PvP all open at a size you can read and tap on a phone held sideways. The spellbook keeps the touch features players rely on: drag a spell straight onto your buttons, or press Bind with a controller to put it on a pad button.

A HUD that looks the part

The minimap, the player and target frames and the cast bar now use DragonUI’s look, and the cast bar sits in the middle of the screen where your eyes already are. The round touch buttons got a bright gold ring, so they stand out against the world without hiding it.

Built for controllers

With an Xbox, PlayStation or Bluetooth pad, the game switches to its controller layout by itself:

  • Clean button glyphs for Xbox or PlayStation, chosen from the pad you’re holding.
  • A cursor for every window. A gold frame shows where you are, the D-pad moves it, A presses and B goes back. Lists scroll as you move through them.
  • Mouse mode on R3 for the rare spot that needs a pointer: the right stick moves a cursor and A and X click.
  • The main button (RT) targets, attacks, loots, talks and opens mailboxes, whatever is in front of you.

Make it yours with Edit Mode

Open the game menu and choose Edit Mode to drag and resize any part of the HUD: the stick, the action buttons, jump, the minimap, the cast bar, the chat and the unit frames. It now uses DragonUI’s own Edit Mode style, and touch and controller each keep their own saved layout.

And on a PC?

Nothing changes on a computer. You’re asked once whether you’d like DragonUI too, and your AddOns list decides after that. PC players also got a new option today: Interface > Browser > “Out of range, the whole action button turns red”.

How to get it

  1. Open lasthavens.com/play on your phone, tablet or computer, or reload the page if it was already open.
  2. Hold your phone sideways, or pair a controller.
  3. Log in and play. The new interface is already on.

Frequently asked questions

Can you play World of Warcraft on a phone?

Yes. Lasthavens plays in your phone's browser: Safari on iPhone and iPad, Chrome on Android or the Lasthavens app. You hold the phone sideways, and the interface is built for touch: big buttons, a movement stick and windows that fit the screen.

Can I play WotLK with a controller?

Yes. Pair or plug in an Xbox, PlayStation or other Bluetooth gamepad and open lasthavens.com/play. The game switches to its controller layout on its own, with button glyphs for your pad, a cursor you move through every window with the D-pad, and a mouse mode on the right stick.

What is DragonUI?

DragonUI is a popular interface addon that brings a modern, retail-style look to Wrath of the Lich King. Lasthavens builds it into the game for touch and controller players and tunes it for small screens and gamepads, so the windows, minimap, unit frames and cast bar get its look without breaking the touch and controller controls.

Does the new interface change anything on PC?

No. On a computer with a mouse and keyboard the game looks as it always did. You are asked once whether you would like DragonUI, and after that your AddOns list decides.

Can I move and resize the buttons?

Yes. Edit Mode, from the game menu, lets you drag and resize every part of the HUD, from the stick and the action buttons to the minimap, the cast bar and the chat. Touch and controller each keep their own layout.

Is it free?

Yes. Lasthavens is free to play, with nothing to download beyond the first visit to the page, which your browser then keeps.
