Play Wrath of the Lich King on iPhone and iPad
You can play Wrath of the Lich King on an iPhone or iPad without installing anything. Lasthavens runs the game client inside Safari, with touch controls made from the game’s own buttons. Here is what you need, how to start, and how the controls work.
What you need
- An iPhone or iPad with a recent version of iOS and Safari
- Wi-Fi for the first visit, which downloads about 50 MB before the login screen
- A free Lasthavens account, which you make on the game’s login screen
Start playing
- Open lasthavens.com/play in Safari.
- Turn your phone sideways. The game is laid out for landscape and asks you to turn it if you hold it upright.
- Tap Create Account, pick a name and password, then tap Login.
- Make a character and you’re in the world.
Play full screen
Safari keeps its address bar on screen. To get the whole screen, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. Lasthavens then opens from your Home Screen like an app, with nothing around it.
Touch controls

| Cast and attack | The action arc, bottom right, under your thumb. These are the real action bar buttons, with cooldowns and range. |

| Right click | Hold for about half a second. Use it to loot, sell and use bag items. |
| Turn the camera | Drag across the world. |
| Zoom | Pinch. |
| Close a window | Tap with two fingers at once. It works like Escape. |
| Type | Tap a text box and the keyboard opens. |
You can change the button size, stick size and camera speed, or turn touch controls off, under Interface Options › Touch. A Bluetooth keyboard and mouse work too.
Switching apps
Answer a message, then come back: the game reconnects you to the same character instead of dropping you at the login screen.
If it doesn’t load
- Make sure you’re in Safari, not a browser inside another app such as Discord or Instagram. Open the link in Safari instead.
- Close other tabs. The game needs a good amount of memory, and older devices can run short in busy cities.
