Play Wrath of the Lich King on a Chromebook
A Chromebook can’t install the Windows game client, and running it through Linux and Wine is slow and fiddly. Lasthavens needs neither: Wrath of the Lich King runs in Chrome like any other web page.
What you need
- A Chromebook with an up-to-date ChromeOS
- About 50 MB of download before the login screen, cached after that
- A free Lasthavens account, which you make on the game’s login screen
Start playing
- Open lasthavens.com/play in Chrome.
- Click Create Account, pick a name and password, then Login.
- Make a character and play.
Press the full screen key, or the Fullscreen button on the login screen, to fill the screen.
Touch screen Chromebooks
On a Chromebook with a touch screen the game shows its touch controls. If you’d rather use the keyboard and touchpad, turn them off under Interface Options › Touch.
Performance
Chromebooks vary a lot. If the game feels slow, lower the graphics settings in the game’s Video options. The game won’t load guide covers the rest.
