Azeroth Survivors vs Lasthavens: two free WoW-style games in your browser
If you’ve just watched a streamer play Azeroth Survivors, or finished a few runs yourself, you might be looking for more World of Warcraft you can play without installing anything. Lasthavens is one option, but it’s a very different kind of game. Here’s how they compare, so you can pick the one that suits you, or play both, since both are free.
We run Lasthavens, so read this as an honest pitch, not a neutral review. We don’t run Azeroth Survivors. What we say about it comes from its independent fan guide as of 31 October 2026, and it changes often, so check there for the latest.
The short answer
- Pick Azeroth Survivors for quick runs, automatic attacks and a new build every time, with no account.
- Pick Lasthavens for a full MMO: one character you keep growing, a shared world, quests, dungeons, raids and other players.

How each one plays
Azeroth Survivors follows the survivors formula. You pick one of nine classes, your spells fire by themselves while you keep moving through waves of enemies, you choose level-up cards, and you beat each zone’s five bosses. Each run is a new build, which is why it’s so watchable and so easy to pick up.
Lasthavens is the MMO itself, not a game inspired by it. You make a character and take it through Azeroth, Outland and Northrend on a single PvP realm, with twice the normal experience from kills, quests and exploring. You control your own abilities, and the long game is dungeons, raids, professions, battlegrounds and arenas with other people. There’s no instant level 80: the journey is the point.
Getting started
Neither one asks you to install a client first.
Azeroth Survivors’ official home is wow.aethus.pl. Its fan guide warns that the first load can take a while, and that when the server is busy you may see a “Too many people are playing” message.
For Lasthavens, open the game and make an account on the login screen. The first visit loads about 50 MB to reach the login screen and the rest as you play, so there’s no 17 GB download. It works in a desktop browser on Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebook, in Safari on iPhone and iPad (iOS 17 or newer), and in Chrome or the app on Android.
If you liked Azeroth Survivors, will you like Lasthavens?
You probably will if the classes, talents and bosses were what drew you in and you’d like them to last longer than a run. It’s slower to start, though: you’ll spend your first hours questing rather than clearing screens of enemies, and you press your own buttons.
You might not if the appeal was the short sessions and instant chaos. If so, stick with Azeroth Survivors, and try Lasthavens when you want something bigger.

Frequently asked questions
Is Lasthavens the same game as Azeroth Survivors?
No. Azeroth Survivors is a fan-made survivors roguelike by Aethus, with short runs against waves of enemies. Lasthavens is a separate project: a Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a MMO realm with a shared world and other players. The two aren't connected.
Is Azeroth Survivors free?
Its fan guide says the browser game is free at wow.aethus.pl, with an optional tip link. Lasthavens is also free, with no shop and no donations.
Do I need an account?
Azeroth Survivors' browser version has no sign-in and saves progress in your browser, according to its fan guide. Lasthavens needs a free account, which you make on the login screen, because your characters live on the realm.
Can I play with friends?
Both let you. Azeroth Survivors has host and join options for co-op lobbies. On Lasthavens your friends are on the same realm, so you can group, join a guild and run dungeons and raids together.
Which one can I play on my phone?
Azeroth Survivors' fan guide says it includes mobile handling but that player reports vary. Lasthavens plays on iPhone and iPad in Safari and on Android in Chrome or its app, with touch controls.
Is either of them made by Blizzard?
No. Both are independent fan projects, not made or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment.
